Exploring Palatine

Palatine is a village in Cook County, Illinois,   It is a northwestern residential suburb of Chicago. With a  population of around 68,557,  it is the seventh-largest community in Cook County and the 18th-largest in the state of Illinois.  This village is known for its nature and parks. It’s pretty quiet here, has a nice downtown, cute shops, and places to eat.  Great town with a sense of community.  13.76 mi² in size and roughly 26.24 miles from Chicago, residents say it’s a wonderful place to raise a family.

The Village has 2 seperate park districts.  The Palatine Park District and the Salt Creek Rural Park District.  They are both fabulous.  The Palatine Park District Facilities are:

Their programs are endless and cover everything from Aquatics to Athletics, From Camps to Cultural Arts.  They have Golf, and Gymnastics, Fitness, Horsemanship, Leagues, Preschool, and so much more.  The parks they offer are fantastic and are state of the art.  There are 3 aquatic centers within the park system:  The Birchwood Pool, The Eagle Pool and the Family Aquatic Center.
